Sua s'dei! Welcome to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Travel to Cambodia and encounter the cultural and architectural riches of this ancient land. Siem reap small but expanding town of Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor. This is the most popular destination for travelers in all of Cambodia, perhaps even in South-East Asia.
We leave Siem Reap at 8:30 am and travel south/east through small beautiful rural villages and rice fields towards the great lake. Depending on the time of year and the current water levels we go as far as we can by road where our boats will be waiting for you. We travel the rest of the way by boat down the Kompong Phluk River and into the main village.
The village is home to approx. 3000 predominately Khmer fishing people, where, depending on the time of year, we will either sail on through the main street of the village (when the water is high the roads become a river) or walk along it in the low water level season. Whichever way it's a great opportunity to see how the rural fishing villages work/live and go about their daily tasks. There are a few schools, large Buddha pagoda and many stilted homes towering some 9 meters high to adapt to the changing water levels. It is a lovely peaceful place to visit anytime of the year, as well as seeing how a vast majority of Cambodians live as fishermen or farmers and get an insight into their way of life.
From there we transfer into our small boats and row you through the flooded forest of Kompong Phluk (or if the water levels are low we walk through the treetop canopy walkway). The name of Kompong Phluk means “Harbor of the tusks”. We then proceed onto the great lake itself and see the small floating village which moves in and out depending on the water levels, as the community works around the seasonal variance of the great lake as the actual level of the lake can vary by up to 10 meters.
Notes: In April and August, when water levels are typically at their lowest.
*Kompong Phluk Tour will make pick up between 07:40 am to 08:30am finish and send you back to the hotel around 12:30 pm. After will pick you up again at 07:00 pm for Cambodia circus show.
About: The Cambodian Circus Phare Nightly Performance
“Amazing vibe & energy transforming the lives of Cambodia youth.”
Uniquely Cambodian. Daringly Modern. Phare shows are unlike any in the world: theater, dance, original live music, and breathtaking circus arts are used to tell uniquely Cambodian stories, both traditional and contemporary.
Phare the Cambodian Circus. Coming from vulnerable households, the performers have gained international recognition through their art practice. Like a Cambodian Cirque Du Soleil, modern Khmer tales mix theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, juggling, aerial acts, and contortion.

Day 2:Small Circiut Tour ( Please note: This is the Join-in tour, Group size 1 to 17 pax)
Spend a full day temple-hopping with our local guide to make the most of your visit to the world-famous Angkor complex, built between the 9th and 13th centuries when the Khmer empire was the pre-eminent influence in South-East Asia. The ruins are scattered over an area of some 160 square kilometers, but the main cluster of temples is close to Siem Reap so you'll have plenty of time to fully appreciate the great archaeological sites. These include Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm (the jungle temple made famous when Tomb Raider was filmed there) the Bayon, South Gate and the jungle-covered. The temples were believed to represent the cosmic world and were set in perfect balance, symmetry and composition. The intricately carved bas-reliefs and architectural designs are mind-blowing and there are spectacular photographic opportunities at any time of day - watching sunset at Bakheng Mountain Hill is a must.
Angkor Wat, the largest and most complete structure, and the only one of Angkor's temples that has its entrance facing west – the others face east. You’ll also visit Ta Prohm temple, where nature has taken over again and large trees are embedded in the stone foundations of the structure. Then there is Angkor Thom, the 'Great Royal City', a temple that is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Of all the temples visited, Bayon temple is the centerpiece, with over 200 smiling carved faces and more than 50 gothic towers. And the last stop is the Sunset at Bakheng Hill.
